Our client, a global company located in the Baltimore, MD has an immediate opportunity for a Project Manager with financial industry experience for a long-term, onsite contract position with growth potential. The Project Manager will help drive the importance of the alignment of information across the project environment, as well as across the program. 

Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Assigned to assist on one or more projects based on size and complexity and will take direction from the Senior Project Manager as appropriate. 
  • Project team resource management; financial spend, accrual validation, and forecasting development and management.
  • Project schedule development and maintenance; report generation; project status report, snapshots, organizational chart preparation and data validation.
  • Create log reviews and updates for risk, issue, and dependency.
  • Maintain the outlook distribution list.
  • Uphold program / project management standards through integration strategy with corporate initiatives.

Project Manager Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields.
  • 3+ years' experience managing and maintaining project schedules using MS Project (intermediate to advanced). 
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Visio, and SharePoint (intermediate to advanced).
  • Vast knowledge of important elements or project management, i.e. project governance, resource management, risk and issue management, dependency management, project life-cycles, Tollgating, and overall project management best practices.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and solving problems related to projects.
  • Ability to be proactive and the ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Attention to Detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Financial services experience a plus.
  • Preferred experience managing a project within a program or directly supporting a program.
  • Have a solid grasp of project scheduling, an understanding of project management principles and practices, project health, and forecasts and budgets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Have a positive attitude, and be willing to multi-task quickly to adapt to ever-changing responsibilities.
