A leader in the digital media and news industry is hiring a Social Media Editor in Los Angeles, CA for a full time position, onsite.

Social Media Editor Perks:

Social Media Editor Requirements:
• 3+ years of professional social media experience within a news organization.
• Proven expertise across major social platforms, publishing tools, and analytics dashboards.
• Strong editorial judgment and ability to identify high performing content in a fast paced environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, and Canva with demonstrated creative execution.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week in Los Angeles, including evenings and weekends as news demands shift.

Social Media Editor Responsibilities:
• Manage daily posting and scheduling across all social media platforms to ensure timely and comprehensive coverage.
• Write, edit, and optimize platform specific content to maximize engagement, reach, and social search performance.
• Monitor breaking news and real time analytics to guide publishing decisions and content strategy.
• Pitch and execute creative social first initiatives, including short form on camera video content.
• Partner with editorial teams to align coverage and amplify top stories across digital channels.

Schedule:
• Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm PST.
• Monday through Friday from 12pm to 8pm PST.
