Join the team of a leading Food and Beverage company in Boston, MA as a hybrid Director of Brand Marketing.

The ideal Director of Brand Marketing will be a creative, strategic, and motivated. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this role will help to develop and evolve the brand marketing strategy in a way that simultaneously works to drive short-term demand as well as build long-term awareness. The Director of Brand Marketing will pair a focused and strategic brand vision with the executional know-how required to move quickly and ensure high-quality work.

Director of Brand Marketing Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the VP of Marketing to outline the evolution of our brand positioning and communication strategies to help increase brand awareness, brand equity, and brand loyalty.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of brand marketers to implement on-time and on-brand execution of all key initiatives, campaigns, and deliverables.
  • Work closely with the demand gen team to align the content calendar and supporting assets with our go-to-market strategy.
  • Own and manage brand budget to ensure efficient spending that stays in line with company goals.
  • Oversee and enrich our content marketing and organic social media strategy, working with our Content Marketing Manger to find new, creative ways to tell our story, engage with our target audiences, and drive visitors to the website.
  • Deeply collaborate with our designers to elevate visual identity and enforce its consistency across all of our properties, products, and collateral.
  • Work with internal and external resources to develop video content to power our website and broader online presence across both paid and owned channels.
  • Maintain, develop, and enforce brand guidelines to ensure a cohesive brand experience across all potential internal and external audience touchpoints.
  • Work with our PR agency to develop compelling narratives and thought leadership campaigns that drive awareness and consideration for our brand and product category.
  • Make sure that all creative supports our brand and marketing objectives, and is in line with channel best practices and past campaign learnings.
  • Collaborate closely with product marketing to gain a deep understanding of our target customer personas and the competitive landscape, while uncovering new insights and consumer trends to inform brand positioning.
  • Measure and report on brand health trends, brand campaign performance, and communication program results to clearly display how the brand team’s efforts are creating wins for the company.

Director of Brand Marketing Requirements:
  • Be a player/coach. This is not a strategy-only role where you delegate tasks and move on—you will be expected to roll up your sleeves and help the team to execute.
  • 7+ years in a brand marketing role, preferably with 2+ years of management experience.
  • Experience in either a D2C brand or in a combination of B2B and B2C environments is preferred.
  • Proven track record of creating beautiful, impactful, and measurable brand campaigns.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a strong eye for design.
  • Deep knowledge of the social media landscape and how to leverage it to drive brand loyalty and engagement.
  • Ability to test and iterate quickly—we will be building a lot of our brand initiatives from the ground up and need to establish strong fundamentals in a short period of time.
  • General ability to work cross functionally and collaborate with other departments is critical.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
