We have an exciting opportunity to join a global retail organization as their Graphic Designer in Baltimore, MD. While this position will be remote for now, this person will be required to go into the office 1-2 times per week when the facilities open up. 

The Graphic Designer should be a visual storyteller who is motivated and energized by the power of sport to inspire the best in human performance— highly interested in athletes, attitude, authenticity, and all things digital, at every customer touchpoint.

This Graphic Designer will report to the Creative Director to support digital design across email and the Shop App for the Americas, partnering with marketers, art directors, and writers to develop transformative storytelling executions and experiences that strengthen the brand’s emotional connection. The Graphic Designer will be driven and unrelenting while working with tight deadlines to bring the best conceptual and visual expression of the brand to attract, engage, and convert their target demographic. 

Graphic Designer Responsibilities: 

  • Conceptualize, design, lead, and manage the development of on-brand designs for email and app channels from start to finish with limited assets while sticking to Brand Vision, Mission, and Values.
  • Ability to interpret and influence creative briefs to create customer-focused positioning and creative communications strategies that drive defined KPIs while dialing into design trends, art, sport, culture, and email design best practices.
  • Meet with partners to to align on marketing/creative strategy and collaborate with creative, CPL (CRM, Personalization & Loyalty), driving consumer-focused content strategy and execution. 
  • Gather, prepare, and present conceptual ideas by designing rough layout of art and copy arrangement, size, style, and related aesthetics and effectively communicate your design intent and impact.
  • Ability to think strategically, manage many tasks at once, and deliver high-quality output every time, on time in an agile, fast-paced, consumer-obsessed, test-and-learn environment—incorporating learnings from A/B Testing into design.
  • Demonstrated versatility as a designer who is constantly seeking new and innovative ways to design for consumer experience (graphics, photography, retail/digital) with a proven understanding of design systems and digital templates.
  • Commitment to building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external partners, as well as using personal leadership skills to help junior level designers enrich their skills. A willingness to go the extra mile to get work done and meet timelines made to others.

Graphic Designer Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a design-related field or extensive design-related experience.
  • 2-4+ years of graphic or digital design experience.
  • Experience designing across digital channels, especially email is a MUST, and experience with e-commerce is a strong plus.
  • Experience working collaboratively with a team, cross-departmentally, and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Microsoft Office, Mac platforms, Presentation softwares.
  • Excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation, leadership, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • A high quality, diverse portfolio of work submitted with resume and salary history [Examples: Email Marketing, Digital ads and implemented campaigns, online content/Ecommerce site references (URLs)].
