We have an exciting Direct Hire opportunity to join the Ecommerce team of a quickly growing retail chain in Plano, TX as a Sr. UX/UI Designer. 

This role will focus on retail customer behavior and be responsible for optimizing website experience and performance through customer-centered insights and retail-focused improvements. 

The UX/UI Designer will work with creative teams, store teams, IT Teams, Analytics, and the Omnichannel Team to conceptualize, design, and prototype ideas that ensure the user experience meets overall business requirements, maintains branding, aesthetics, functional, and workflow requirements.  

Sr. UX/UI Designer Responsibilities: 

  • Lead, recommend, and prototype improvements in functionality, navigation, user interface design elements, system workflow and existing pages to optimize online conversion (desktop/tablet/mobile). 

  • Partner and lead project teams through discovery to explore problem definition, and establish strategies for a comprehensive, user-centered solution. 

  • Prepare and facilitate meetings, workshops, focus groups and interviews with stakeholders, subject matter experts and users. 

  • Conceptualize and articulate complex solutions to team members and managers through appropriate deliverables (i.e. sketches, wireframes, prototypes, documentation, spreadsheets, sitemaps, user flows, journey maps). 

  • Gather, document, and manage requirements with a user-centered approach. 

  • Articulate and promote usability, accessibility, and interaction design best practices. 

Sr. UX/UI Designer Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. 

  • 5+ years of relevant UX experience. 

  • Expert knowledge of UI design and ecommerce best practices. 

  • Expert knowledge of industry tools (Sketch, XD, Figma) and prototyping tools (InVision, UIKit). 

  • Strong knowledge of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics). 

  • Strong ability to communicate complex concepts to a variety of audiences. 

  • Problem-solving mindset with experience finding and solving high-friction customer issues. 

  • Communication and presentation skills a must. 

  • Knowledge of digital marketing initiatives is preferred (Paid Search, SEO, Affiliates, Display). 

  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Javascript is a plus.
