We have an exciting Direct Hire opportunity with the Ecommerce team of a quickly growing retail chain as a UX Design Researcher in Plano, TX. 

This role will focus on retail customer behavior and be responsible for optimizing website experience and performance through customer-centered insights and retail-focused improvements. 

The UX Design Researcher will be responsible for working with creative teams, store teams, IT Teams, Analytics, and the Omnichannel Teams to create personas and user stories, conduct research and then synthesize research findings to help drive design decisions.

UX Design Researcher Responsibilities: 

  • Develop personas and user stories across channels and work to create a research repository that can be shared and utilized in the future. 

  • Prepare and facilitate meetings, workshops, focus groups and interviews with stakeholders, subject matter experts and users. 

  • Conceptualize and articulate complex solutions to team members and managers through appropriate deliverables (i.e. sketches, wireframes, prototypes, documentation, spreadsheets, sitemaps, user flows, journey maps). 

  • Gather, document, and manage requirements with a user-centered approach. 

  • Articulate and promote usability, accessibility, and interaction design best practices. 

UX Design Researcher Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. 

  • 5+ years of relevant UX & Research experience. 

  • Expert knowledge of UX and research best practices

  • Knowledge of industry tools (Sketch, XD, Figma) and prototyping tools (InVision, UIKit). 

  • Strong knowledge of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics). 

  • Strong ability to communicate complex concepts to a variety of audiences. 

  • Problem-solving mindset with experience finding and solving high-friction customer issues. 

  • Communication and presentation skills a must. 

  • Knowledge of digital marketing initiatives is preferred (Paid Search, SEO, Affiliates, Display). 

  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Javascript is a plus.
