A leader in the Media and journalism industry is hiring a Silicon Valley Society Correspondent in San Francisco Bay Area, CA for a full-time position, onsite 2 days a week.

Silicon Valley Society Correspondent Requirements:

  • 5–7+ years of experience reporting for a fast-paced digital or print newsroom

  • Deep familiarity with the San Francisco Bay Area and established regional sources

  • Strong background in features, enterprise, or narrative journalism

  • Proven ability to balance daily coverage with longer-lede, in-depth stories

  • Proficiency with WordPress or a comparable CMS; strong understanding of digital storytelling

Silicon Valley Society Correspondent Responsibilities:

  • Report and write original stories examining Silicon Valley through a societal and cultural lens, including legacy wealth, power networks, and elite institutions

  • Deliver consistent daily coverage with speed, accuracy, and strong editorial judgment

  • Develop enterprise and narrative stories that provide context, depth, and insight beyond daily news

  • Cultivate exclusive sources and story ideas rooted in trust and long-standing regional relationships

  • Collaborate closely with editors on features, profiles, and long-form reporting
