A leader in the publishing space is hiring a Freelance Production Designer for a remote, contract position supporting East Coast hours.

Freelance Production Designer Perks:

  • Fully remote engagement with a steady, manageable project cadence.
  • Clear project briefs with defined scopes, timelines, and image specs covered at kickoff.
  • Ongoing contract opportunity with consistent work across a variety of production projects.
  • Pay rate of $40/hr.

Freelance Production Designer Requirements:

  • 3 to 7+ years of experience in production or informational design.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (required).
  • Own Adobe Creative Suite license.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines with minimal oversight.
  • East Coast availability for kickoffs and check-ins; West Coast candidates must be able to flex their schedule accordingly.

Freelance Production Designer Responsibilities:

  • Execute designs within established templates and systems across a variety of production projects.
  • Deliver clean, polished assets on 5-day project timelines.
  • Attend project kickoffs to align on scope, image sourcing, and asset requirements.
  • Source and license imagery correctly, utilizing company enterprise accounts when available.
  • Apply light animation as needed, keeping motion simple and clean rather than complex.
