A leader in the broadcast news media industry is hiring a Line Producer in New York, NY, for a full-time, fully onsite position.

Line Producer Perks:

  • Work on a nationally recognized live morning news program
  • Play a key role in shaping daily breaking news and political coverage
  • Collaborate with an experienced, 15-person production team
  • Contribute original story ideas, segment concepts, and visual storytelling elements
  • Gain exposure to emerging newsroom technologies and cross-platform content initiatives

Line Producer Requirements:

  • Prior television news production and live control room experience
  • Strong editorial judgment and a passion for breaking news, politics, headlines, and current events
  • Excellent writing, copy-editing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and make independent, real-time decisions under deadline pressure
  • Familiarity with iNews, Dalet, VIZ, and newsroom production workflows

Line Producer Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain, and execute the rundown for the 10:00 AM hour of a live morning news program
  • Lead control room production and make real-time editorial decisions during breaking news
  • Collaborate with senior producers, bookers, associate producers, talent, directors, and technical teams
  • Produce guest segments, reporter hits, anchor discussions, and live breaking news coverage
  • Copy-edit scripts, banners, and graphics while identifying compelling video, soundbites, and visual storytelling opportunities
