A leader in the news media industry is hiring a Senior Editor, Politics in Washington, DC for a full-time, onsite position, Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM ET.

Senior Editor, Politics Perks:
  • Competitive salary up to $180,000 annually.

Senior Editor, Politics Requirements:
  • 6+ years of newsroom, TV, or digital news experience.
  • 3+ years of newsroom management leading reporters and editors.
  • Mastery of AP Style, editorial judgment, and headline writing.
  • Expertise in political and general news journalism.
  • Experience using analytics tools (Chartbeat, Adobe Analytics) to inform strategy.
Senior Editor, Politics Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of editors and reporters to deliver high-impact journalism.
  • Oversee daily news coverage, breaking news, and long-term editorial planning.
  • Approve and refine pitches to align with brand voice and audience needs.
  • Use real-time analytics to drive editorial and audience engagement decisions.
  • Maintain accuracy, speed, and quality across all published content.
