Database Engineering Manager Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering with hands-on technical ownership.
- 2+ years of experience managing or technically leading analysts or engineers.
- Deep expertise in cloud data warehouses (Snowflake or Azure Data Warehouse) and advanced SQL.
- Experience integrating and reporting on Salesforce Sales Cloud data, including custom objects and relationships.
- Strong background in ETL/ELT tools, BI platforms, and data governance within regulated environments.
Database Engineering Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a small analytics engineering team, owning delivery of dashboards, reporting, and data models.
- Own data warehouse architecture, schema design, and modeling decisions to ensure scalable, reliable analytics.
- Partner with software engineering on ETL/ELT pipelines, integrations, and source system changes.
- Optimize data performance, pipeline reliability, and storage costs while maintaining security and stability.
- Establish standards for data quality, governance, access controls, and documentation across the data platform.
