A leader in the media and journalism industry is hiring a Copy Editor in Los Angeles, CA for a full-time position, onsite 5 days per week.

Copy Editor Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field

  • 5+ years of copy-editing experience in a print newsroom environment

  • Deep knowledge of AP style and strong editorial judgment

  • Exceptional attention to detail and command of grammar, spelling, and style

  • Ability to thrive under tight deadlines in a high-pressure newsroom

Copy Editor Responsibilities:

  • Write sharp, clever, and attention-grabbing headlines aligned with brand voice

  • Craft compelling captions that enhance photo storytelling

  • Edit and proofread articles for clarity, accuracy, grammar, and style

  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of facts, names, and details

  • Collaborate closely with writers, editors, and designers to finalize print pages
