A leader in the digital consulting industry is hiring a Senior Java API Engineer for a 6-month contract position, fully remote.  Candidates who are U.S. Citizens currently based in the United States and authorized to work without sponsorship, are encouraged to apply.

Senior Java API Engineer Perks:

Senior Java API Engineer Requirements:
• 5+ years of professional experience in Java backend engineering
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs in production environments
• Strong experience with Micronaut, Spring Boot, or similar Java frameworks
• Experience working within Azure-hosted or cloud-based application environments

Senior Java API Engineer Responsibilities:
• Maintain and enhance Java-based REST APIs supporting native iOS and Android applications
• Develop new backend features, integrations, and scalable services using Java and Micronaut
• Troubleshoot production issues across APIs, applications, and infrastructure layers
• Collaborate with engineering teams, QA, project managers, and client stakeholders to deliver technical solutions
• Participate in architecture discussions, CI/CD processes, code reviews, and operational best practices
