A telecommunications company located in Arlington, VA seeks a full-time Sr. Social Media Marketing Manager. The ideal the Social Media Manager candidate will be the strategic leader for the Social Media discipline across all brands; and be a part of a corporate Digital Marketing team working closely with corporate marketing, local marketing teams, customer care teams, creative agencies and technical vendors.

In this role, the Sr. Social Media Marketing Manager candidate will lead and execute on all day-to-day operations of social media management; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn for residential and business organizations across all brands. This role will manage all timelines and imagery, ensuring consistent visual representation and messaging in alignment with brand identity and voice.

Social Media Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Lead Social Media across three regional brands and 12 primary social handles while leading a small internal team and external agencies - oversee the complete social media operations (soup to nuts).
  • Develop social media programs with the end in mind – deep understanding of core KPIs & goals. Builds campaigns and programs that are fully integrated to web, email, paid and eCommerce – to drive brand growth.
  • Run full-scale marketing programs and campaigns end-to-end with total command; delegate to teammates where appropriate. Take a proactive approach to setting plans for the year, developing programs against the (approved) master plan and leading with perfect execution.
  • Understand and set core KPIs for the social media program overall and for individual programs (as needed), then manages to meet those goals, reporting out performance across the organization to build consensus and support for the Social Media discipline overall.
  • Devise core reporting suite/set for social media discipline – bring forward the right social metrics for each program, as appropriate, including sentiment, engagement, paid, etc. Educate the organization on critical social media data points and the programs enacted to effect those. Understand trends and what resonates with audiences and proactively apply findings for continuous improvement and fine-tuning.
  • Spearhead communication programs centered on customer impacting events. Leads the customer communications programs – own documentation, proactive evolution, liaison across departments, building consensus and initiating improvements.
  • Launch formal influencer and community-based social campaigns/programs. Devises framework for formal influencers program – align with referral program to amplify.

Social Media Marketing Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's in Business, Communications or Marketing is a plus.
  • 8-10 years' experience with digital marketing with explicit experience in: on site/web, content marketing, social media management, PR/communications and video.
  • 5 years in end-to-end project management. Must have experience/skills to manage marketing projects and campaigns end-to-end, independently.
  • 3 years working independently or with teams to execute integrated digital marketing campaigns or programs.
  • Must be a strong writer with demonstrated experience in writing long- and short-form content for the web and/or social.
  • High understanding/comfort with social media technology, BI and related digital applications/technology.
  • Familiarity with SEO/SEM, how paid and organic digital media interplay and digital marketing fundamentals.
  • Must be able to work within fast paced, innovative environment with a strong ability to manage multiple deadlines and multi-task across campaigns/channels.
  • Highly organized; time management and attention to detail a must.
  • Proficiency with MS Suite – emphasis on Excel.
  • Experience with Tableau, Adobe Marketing Suite, Google Analytics and social media platforms preferred.
