A leader in the digital media industry is hiring a Politics Editor in New York, NY for a full-time, onsite position (Monday–Friday, 12–8 PM ET).
Editor, Politics Perks:

Editor, Politics Requirements:
  •  5+ years of experience editing or covering politics in a digital newsroom.
  • Strong news judgment and ability to manage breaking and trending stories under pressure.
  • Expertise in crafting sharp headlines, clear ledes, and engaging visuals.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with social, video, and homepage teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field preferred.
Editor, Politics Responsibilities:
  • Lead afternoon and evening political coverage, driving breaking and trending stories.
  • Assign, edit, and package content with speed, accuracy, and editorial impact.
  • Monitor political developments, competitors, and social media for story opportunities.
  • Coach writers to deliver high-quality, audience-focused political journalism.
  • Coordinate with day and overnight teams to ensure seamless news coverage transitions.
