A global, collaborative organization serving over 375 technology companies, including major players in mobile, automotive, and computing is searching for a remote Technical Writer for a 12-month contract position.

Technical Writer Requirements:
  • Experience in digital audio, software interfaces, and driver-level documentation

  • Background in electrical systems and digital signal processing

  • Knowledge of consumer device architecture (PCs, phones, tablets)

  • 5+ years of experience in technical documentation, ideally in standards development

  • Strong grasp of systems architecture, protocol documentation, and digital design

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat


Technical Writer Responsibilities:
  • Document Authoring & Editorial Work
    • Draft and edit confidential MIPI technical documents (e.g., specifications, white papers, FAQs), using MS Word, Visio, and Adobe Acrobat.
    • Produce review-ready PDFs, track revisions, and incorporate workgroup feedback.
    • Clearly communicate abstract technical concepts through concise writing and visuals.
    • Contribute to content development across software, hardware, and integration layers.
  • Team Collaboration & Support
    • Join weekly calls and collaborate with subgroup members.
    • Support or lead draft reviews and align closely with the Technical Editing Director and Work Group Chair.
    • Provide regular updates on timelines, deliverables, and progress.
  • Project Estimation & Process Improvement
    • Assist with project scoping and estimating time/costs.
    • Offer suggestions to improve documentation workflows and participate in related improvement meetings (billable).
