An established global retail brand is seeking a dynamic and accomplished Director, Private Brand Product Development for a full-time, on-site role in Dallas-Fort Woth, TX. Candidates residing in the DFW area only will be considered as this role is required to be on-site 5 days per week.

Director, Private Brand Product Development Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Product Management, Business Administration, or another related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Digital Brand Product Development within the industry.
  • 5+ years of experience within a leadership capacity – leading a team of 5 or more individuals. 
  • 3+ years of experience within CPG, Retail, Food & Beverage, eCommerce, or another relevant industry. 
  • Strong background in digital brand product development within the industry, with a focus on creating purposeful, high-quality, and sustainable products. 
  • Proven experience in strategic planning and execution, with the ability to integrate customer insights, market trends, and financial indicators into strategic plans that drive impactful results. 
  • Excellent collaboration skills and experience working cross-functionally with teams such as Marketing, Logistics, Franchise, Merchandising, and Procurement to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.
  • Superb and effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with executive leadership, discuss progress, address challenges, and provide strategic recommendations to drive success. 

Director, Private Brand Product Development Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to go-to-market strategy, leveraging industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscapes to drive continuous improvement and ensure market relevance.
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging market trends and consumer insights to drive innovation, capture white space opportunities, and maintain a competitive edge within the industry.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the team and across global cross-functional partners, encouraging idea generation, creative problem-solving, and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure product quality, regulatory compliance, and packaging excellence are upheld throughout the product lifecycle, emphasizing the importance of consumer safety, brand integrity, and sustainability.
  • Provide strategic leadership to achieve key financial metrics and business objectives across the product portfolio, emphasizing the importance of product differentiation, market positioning, and competitive advantage.
  • Supervise forecasting of raw materials, production, finished goods, and seasonal safety stock to optimize inventory management, minimize stockouts, and meet consumer demand effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvement in product assortment, packaging design, demand chain optimization, and reporting processes to enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth.
  • Manage a team of Product Development managers to research and develop innovative products, enter new categories, and continuously enhance existing categories to drive aggressive growth.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to advance the vision and objectives of the Private Brands portfolio, focusing on driving purposeful, high-quality, and sustainable product development efforts.
